The Key - Panatlantica's Digital Garden
AI is only a danger to humanity, if we cease to understand AI output.
If we forget how things work and function only because things might sound good and appear to be logic and sound, we loose the capability to truly judge.
So not AI is the danger to us, it is us who are the only danger to ourselves. With every Enter we press in that prompt field.
Be slow, be thoughtful, use it with respect and responsibility.
The crucial part
We must actively know how things work. AI is a tool to help you get something organized out of your thought. It is not a tool that "let's you do your work."
And I guess this can be easy forgot. Noone excluded.
Because this is what happens
- You take your output, quickly check it through, if it's good out it goes. Right?
- Nothing ever gets added. We will loose understanding how thing work and ultimately are dependent.
Don't just stand there and loose it, sucker
And sorry but no sorry, I honestly mean that. What you should do instead is what we call "adding value to the reader" in the area of professional content generation.
- Take the output, and take it to the side.
- Don't just consume, let it sink in.
- Ask yourself:
- Did I really understand the output? (If not go back and learn it. Seriously.)
- What can I add to this from my own experiences?
- Did I really consider all angles?
If you do this you keep adding and learn to use AI at what it is: a tool to access and acquire knowledge, and help you in finding the right words to describe your brilliant thoughts and ideas to others.
